Craig Shepard / Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBCSM )
Craig Shepard grew up in South Burlington, Vermont. Both of his parents worked full-time jobs, often supplementing their income with part-time work. As kids, Craig and his siblings worked and saved money from after-school and summer jobs, allowing them to pay for college with savings, loans, grants, and scholarships.
Years later, Craig’s father was forced into early retirement because of health problems. Expecting to make use of their 401(k) savings and pension, his parents confronted the devastating reality of an unexpected retirement. Due to poor financial advice, the unthinkable had happened — his father’s 401(k) and pension were lost. His parents always intended to support themselves in retirement but found themselves working into their late 70s.
What happened to Craig’s parents lives with him and remains the pivotal event that compelled him to dedicate his career to helping protect the retirement of working families. The key focus of Craig and Federal Retirement Solutions is to provide their clients with the resources to begin building a better retirement.
Helping people retire more successfully requires a deep, personal commitment and extensive professional experience and training. Beyond his own family story, there’s a growing trend across America — many people are retiring without proper planning or advice. Federal Retirement Solutions’ goal is to provide high-quality advice and unbiased, professional financial planning to help provide an outstanding retirement experience.
